Chapter 4. Mindset and Culture

This chapter is about what mindset and culture are, their importance in enhancing agility, which variables influence them, and how to influence those variables.

As discussed in the previous chapter, for an enterprise to have greater agility, it must treat knowledge workers, that is, its people, as its most valuable asset. It is people who will build and enhance the capabilities underlying agility. People need to come together to work as teams that are committed to a common purpose and which need to figure out the best way to achieve that purpose through interactions and feedback-based learning. Hence, people who have the right mindset, and are supported by a people-centric culture, are at the foundation of enterprise agility.
